By bus

The town of Bruay-La-Buissière is served by the Tadao bus network, which covers the areas of Béthune-Bruay, Lens-Liévin and Hénin-Carvin.

Bulle 2, get off at « Place de l’Europe », approx. 500m away from the Cité des Électriciens // Bus Line 14, get off at « Électriciens » 

By train

Béthune is the nearest train station to Bruay-La-Buissière.
TER regional trains from the largest cities in the region: Lille, Lens, Arras
TGV from Valenciennes, Beauvais, Paris and Brussels

When at Béthune trainstation, take the bus from the « Gare Poincaré » bus stop: from there, either take the line « Bulle 2 » and get off at « Place de l’Europe » and then walk approx. 500m to find the Cité, or take the line 14 and get off at the « Électriciens » bus stop.

The Visitor Centre, exhibition areas and outdoor areas of the Cité are accessible to reduced mobility visitors. Areas open to the public have been designed to facilitate pedestrian flow and the use of wheelchairs and prams.

Two holiday rentals (Chez Rosalie & Chez Léon) and one artist residence are accessible to persons with reduced mobility.

Guide dogs for the blind are accepted throughout the site. A sensory line on the ground helps sight-impaired and blind visitors navigate the site. 

The Visitors’ Centre is equipped with easy-to-use devices for sight-impaired and blind visitors, in addition to hearing loops for visitors with hearing impairments. All videos shown in the Visitors’ Centre are sub-titled.

Maison d'ingénieur : salle d'expositions
Il s’agit de la plus ancienne cité minière subsistant dans le Bassin minier du Pas-de-Calais. Elle constitue une véritable charnière dans l’histoire de l’habitat ouvrier. Elle témoigne en effet de la progressive évolution de l’habitat ouvrier au XIXe siècle.
